ICF Sr. Benefits Manager in Fairfax, Virginia

Description:

ICF seeks a Sr. Benefits Manager to join our Total Rewards team, reporting to the Total Rewards Director. The Sr. Manager will be an individual contributor role, responsible for managing and ensuring compliance of ICF s U.S. health & welfare, wellness, and retirement programs. Oversees the annual open enrollment process, recommends and implements new plans/changes. Responsible for benefit plan communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs by providing guidance to Benefits Analysts

  • Track claim cost trends, work with third party service providers to identify drivers of cost increases; recommend mitigation strategies

  • Manage annual open enrollment process

  • Resolve escalated employee and vendor issues

  • Develop and execute employee benefits communications and behavior change strategies

  • Manage key relationships with brokers, record keepers, administrators and providers to ensure high service levels with effective program design

  • Track new federal/state legislation that would impact ICF

  • Assist with creation of fringe budgets and monitor throughout the year on progress against budget

  • Be the consultative benefits expert providing necessary subject matter information, knowledge, and advice to HR Business Partners and managers

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7 years of benefits experience in organizations of at least 3000 employees in a self-insured ASO environment

  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing impactful employee communications strategies, particularly in terms of influencing employee health decisions

  • Experience in a government contracting environment

  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, and other areas of benefits compliance.

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with Workday

  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 collaboration tools (SharePoint, Stream, Sway, Teams, Yammer)

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
